The following course is an introductin to the late nineteenth and easly twentientieth century literature in Ireland. The focus will be put on the aspects of nation building with culture and  literatue, mainly drama. By the end of the syllabus, the attendees should have an overview about the inticacies of British colonialism and Irish postcolonial responses.
