The course titled "Introduction to British Civilisation and Culture" aims to introduce Freshmen to the life and culture of the different human groupings that have peopled The British Isles with a special focus on Great Britain . It studies the period stretching from Prehistorical times to the Glorious revolution of 1688 which marked the birth of the first constitutional monarchy. Special ffocus is placed on events and figures having had a lasting influence on modern Britain , its culture and institutions.
Each course, or section is followed by a Stop and Consider Section which allows students to check and consolidate knowledge introduced in the course. The lectures are complemented with maps, videos and mind maps to make it attractive and easier for freshmento assimilate .
